My work explores memory, loss, and the quiet resilience of tenderness. I use layered materials—tissue, found fabric, lace, and pigment—to evoke the fragility and persistence of personal history. In this piece, the figure emerges partially obscured, textured by the debris of domestic life and the softness of forgotten cloth. I am interested in what lingers: the trace of a gesture, the ghost of a voice, the imprint of care.

This work is part of a broader body rooted in narrative—part fable, part inheritance—where visual storytelling and material language intertwine. I allow intuition to guide the construction of these figures, often starting with a feeling or memory rather than a plan. The textures I use are chosen not only for their tactile presence, but also for their emotional weight. Lace from a grandmother’s drawer. Tulle from an old costume. Paper browned by time. These materials carry stories that words often cannot.
